Interpretation of Yoko Ono’s instruction:

Wish Piece (1996)

y.o. ’96

Make a wish.

Write it down on a piece of paper.

Fold it and tie it around a branch of a Wish Tree.

Ask your friends to do the same.

Keep wishing.

Until the branches are covered with wishes.

My instruction included in the publication:

To heal and be healed

Keep only happy colours

Use them to become strong in the broken places

And be a rainbow in a strangers life

At the Anne and Gordon Samstag Museum of Art, 13 February – 25 April 2015.
